Based on the ancient Greek tragedy
Alcestis by Euripides, where Queen Alcestis goes to her death willingly, so that her beloved King doesn’t have to die himself.
There’s Time is adapted into a 20-minute performance for the characters of “The Queen” and “Death,” both rewritten as queer women. The Queen prepares to die for her lover, while Death waits close by.
